The Good Pitch at Hot Docs
Toronto, ON
May 7, 2009 11:00AM to 03:00PM
Hosted by Working Films
Working Films is excited to be involved in the very first North American Good Pitch, as outreach consultant, a supporter, and provider of pitch training for the filmmakers in the forum.
The Good Pitch in North America is a partnership between the Channel 4 BRITDOC Foundation and the Sundance Documentary Film Program, generously supported by Fledgling Fund.
This event provides a unique opportunity for a select group of filmmakers to pitch both their film and its associated outreach campaign to an invited audience of foundations, NGOs, campaigners, advertising agencies, brands and media to help maximize its impact.
For more information, go to http://britdoc.org/real_good/hotdocs/.
The Good Pitch at Hot Docs will present 5 international projects with a distinctive human rights focus, which transform stories of abuse and injustice into compelling documentary films. Each filmmaking team will have given some thought to what they want to achieve with their film through an associated outreach campaign. The campaigns can take any form, whether seeking to promote public engagement and/or policy change, or engaging with the issues raised in new and interesting ways.
