The Fracking Fracas will feature Split Estate for First Friday, a 2010 Emmy nominee:
Natural Gas Extraction in Nockamixon Township and the Marcellus
The Doylestown Borough Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) will be showing Split Estate, a 2010 Emmy nominated, award-winning documentary on natural gas extraction from Wyoming to Pennsylvania at their free, First Friday video-discussion this month.
Appearing as a commentator on a subject that is already impacting Bucks County, will be Nancy Janyszeski, Chairman of the Nockamixon Township Board of Supervisors. Ms. Janyszeski will bring us up to date on drilling attempts in her township, just a few miles North of Doylestown.
Also appearing will be Melissa Cornick-Scott, an award-winning journalist and producer, who covered this story for a major investigative news program when it first emerged over five years ago.
The Doylestown First Friday sustainable living event will be on August 6th at 7 PM in the Borough Hall, 57 West Court Street, Doylestown. This program, now in its third year, is co-sponsored by the Warminster Township Environmental Advisory Council.
The discussion will also touch briefly on the PECO rate cap issue and how to save money on energy costs in time for the change.
