This new program of Greenville Forward will take place over multiple events in 2011. The goal of the Challenge Series is to inspire dialogue through the emotional connection of documentary films on a specific topic. The impetus for this program came from a viewing of “Food, Inc.” by Greenville Forward, which led to community dialogues about community gardens. The films selected will be of a national scope, but the topics will pertain to issues in the Greenville community.

By viewing the films, emotional connections will be made to the topics at hand and the follow-up discussions will be robust and enlightening. The events will continue to challenge us to talk, converse and explore our opinions, preconceived notions and boundaries.
