Eco Film Fest 2009
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
February 11, 2009 12:00PM to 02:00PM
Hosted by Yasmin Ras
Dear Producer/Filmmaker.
I write with great interest on your film, "Everything's Cool".
I am the founder and director of EcoKnights (www.ecoknights.com), a non-profit environmental advocacy association, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our core programmes related to environmental education for communities and underprivileged children.
On an annual basis, one of our core programmes is the organisation of the Eco Film Fest. You can read on more about the film fest here at http://www.ecoknights.com/content/view/169/66/.
One of the key events is the film screenings of foreign/international environment movies which are available free for all segments of society. Last year, we showcased for the FIRST time in Malaysia and Asia movies like "The Crude Awakening" (Basil Gelpke and Tay McCormack), "Who Killed the Electric Car?" (Chris Paine), "Kilowatt Ours" (Jeff Barrie), just to name a few. The response was overwhelming as the foreign movies were a hit and we had full houses during the screening of these films.
Thus, we'd like to enquire if your kind self would like to work with us for the screening of "Everything's Cool" here in Malaysia and have the movie screened for the first time to a Malaysian audience at the Eco Film Fest 2009 (August 2009). We will be able to provide a decent amount of publicity (like how we did it for the other films last year).
Would love to hear from you and look forward to your reply.
Thanks and take care
Warmest regards:
Yasmin
