Our event went spectacular! We had a great turnout with an almost full theater. After the screening, Dr. Rotenberg from the UNCW Environmental Studies Dept. conducted a Q&A, followed by an action reception with a ton of free food provided by Flaming Amys.
During the Q&A a lot of students asked about ways to get involved both on local and global issues and seemed to feel very empowered and inspired to take action. We got many postcards signed to President Obama for our Climate Rescue campaign and we signed up a lot of new members for UNCW ECO. WECT showed up and interviewed us and took a few shots throughout the night which ended up in the evening news! Overall, the night was a very great success and it really helped to build our campaign.
